For our children to gain the greatest benefit from their education we know it is essential that they attend school every day, on time, to enable them to grow and make the most out of every learning opportunity. We know you will support us in this endeavour so that together we can make great things happen.

Taking a child out of school in term time will affect their learning and we expect parents to help us by not taking children away in school time. There is no automatic entitlement in law to take leave during school time. All applications for leave must be made, in advance, by the parent of residence using the 'Request for leave of absence' form. Requests will only be authorised if the circumstances surrounding the request are considered to be exceptional.

We need to know as soon as possible if your child is to be absent for any reason. Please remember to complete the form below or telephone the school before 9:30 am on the first morning of any absence to enable us to keep an up-to-date record. Please confirm when your child will return to school.
