Keeping children safe at Our Lady’s
At Our Lady Star of the Sea we understand that keeping children safe and promoting the welfare of every child is everyone’s responsibility. Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play.
We know that in order to fulfil this responsibility effectively, all practitioners should make sure their approach is child-centred. This means that they should consider, at all times, what is in the best interests of the child.
We recognise that clear communication and robust policies will provide us all with a framework within which we can fulfil our duty and ensure that we never forget that ‘it could happen here’.
