There have been 30 Kiki Chameleons in school this week! Curious, inquisitive and very creative! The children created their own monsters and described them with brilliant adjectives. I have attached some examples below of some cheeky monsters. We then created ‘Have you seen this monster?’ posters and have displayed them in the school hall. Do let us know if you see these monsters out and about!
In Maths, the children have been exploring numbers 11-20. The children found different ways to represent numbers, using lots of different mathematical equipment. We then explored partitioning numbers into tens and ones.
In Geography this week, the children have been weather reporters. We learned what a compass is used for and the children learned the directions of north, east, south and west. We remembered this using a silly rhyme, please ask the children to tell you all about it!
Class Tiger
This week the Tiger has chosen to come home with Niamh. Niamh, the Tiger has spotted how focused and resilient you have been this week. I hope you have a brilliant weekend with the Tiger!
Let’s celebrate
Enthusiastic Bobby Bee - For writing an amazing monster description. Rafe, Your writing about the Party Pooper Monster, is creative, hilarious and full of incredible adjectives! Every lesson you listen carefully, join in and believe you can do it. You should be very proud of yourself Rafe!
Keep Improving Lizzie Ladybird - For listening to feedback and pushing yourself to produce your best work. Benjamin, this week you have tried really hard to get all of your amazing ideas down on paper. You understand how important it is to focus on your own learning and not compare yourself to others. Your brilliant description of the Monster in the Hood, is something to celebrate! Well done Benjamin!
Notices:
PE kit to be worn on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Please note that the children should wear a full tracksuit, as per the school’s uniform policy - not just shorts. Children are to wear their shorts for Yoga on a Wednesday and indoor PE on a Friday. I suggest that children wear their shorts underneath their tracksuit bottoms, so that they can easily change.
Have a lovely weekend and God bless,
Miss Lane, Miss Woodrow and Mrs Malley
