What a wonderful first day we have had in Year 1! I have loved hearing all about the children’s summer holiday adventures – they sound like they have been fun-filled, with bundles of precious family time. Watching the children’s happy reunions was a joy to behold and I am so pleased to see how the children have settled into their new classroom so quickly.

Thank you for your welcoming hellos and introductions today; I am so looking forward to getting to know you all over the coming weeks. Please do bare with me as I get to know all of your faces.

Important Information:

There will be a whole school Welcome Back Mass on Thursday 5th September. You are all warmly invited to join us and if you are able to walk with us to church, your help would be greatly appreciated. We will be leaving school at 9.30am.
Our Year 1 P.E. days are Wednesday (yoga), Thursday (outdoor) and Friday (indoor). Children should come to school dressed in their PE kit on these days, as per the schools uniform policy.
Our KS1 Induction Evening is Wednesday 18th September at 6pm. This will be an opportunity for you to meet the Year 1 team, hear all about what the children will be learning this year and ask any questions you may have. I hope to see you all there!
Please ensure that children bring a bottle of water to school with them every day to stay hydrated.
Finally, please can you make sure that all clothes, bottles and bags are labelled clearly with your child’s name.
