A child reminds us that playtime is an essential part of our daily routine. Ralph Waldo Emerson

I can’t believe how quick the weeks are flying by and spending time with the children at lunchtimes are one of the many highlights of the lunchtime teams day. The children are completely settled into the new routines, so much so, that it seems it has always been this way. The dining room throughout all the bubbles, has been bubbling over with talk of what they will play today and a time for the teaching staff to spend some down time with the children.

Outside in the playground, laughter rings out as games are played, dance routines practiced and quiet reading corners pop up. From lion cubs, shop keeping to basketball and hoola hooping, the children have certainly shown that a little bit of down time is essential to all.

Mr Nays lunchtime sports activities are proving even more opportunities to cement fundamental skills and fine tune techniques. The progress of the children is undeniably impressive and to watch their faces light up with a sense of achievement and satisfaction, is a joy to witness.
