Back to homework books this week. Thank you for completing your work online last week! You will notice that we have glued all the passwords into the front of your book. Please copy them and keep them safe at home so you always have them with you - you also have a book mark with them on! Organization is always half the battle and removes so much stress. You will also notice that we have glued the spelling test in the back. This will allow you to see how well your child is doing when it comes to this vital skill.
Reading (30 mins everyday including weekends - best at bedtime)
Please continue to read every night. We have some terrific reading going on in class. Certain books are making the rounds and it is great to see children passing them (once out of quarantine) to one another with such excitement. I have to stop them sharing spoilers!
Maths - time to be the teacher
We have been reading writing and ordering numbers to 1 million this week. You will find a short PowerPoint below why not go through it yourself and then sit a sibling or willing parent down and teach them all about the values of digits as we read them to 1 million. Once you have been a teacher complete the worksheet in your homework book!
ROCKSTARS (5 minutes everyday - more if you want)) - well done everyone for working on your RockStars everyday. Please continue to do so. the more you practice the better you will become. I am able to track your progress which is great!
Spelling
Again you have a PowerPoint - you definitely need to complete this task with a family member. Reading and spelling words with ough!!! What a tricky string of letters they have four different sounds!!! You have a fronted adverbial challenge in the PowerPoint and a noun phrase challenge in the PowerPoint. Write 5 sentences with each in your homework book (best handwriting - date and title too - just like all our books).
Now complete the worksheet - (crossword puzzle) in your homework book!
