The weeks are flying by so fast, today we started preparing our classroom for Christmas and made a plan together of what we need and would like to do throughout Advent.
This week we read the story of Elmer, we thought about what kind words we could say to Elmer so he would realize how special he is. We talked about what our favourite colour is and why we like it…Then we used 2Count on Purple Mash to find out which colours most people liked in our class.
In RE we talked about what gifts God has given our friends, we thought about how our friends use their gifts to help other people.
This week we learnt ‘th’ and ‘z’. Don’t forget to stick your tongue out for ‘th’!
Pink Floyd, our Reception house band, have been leading the way in our live outdoor performances. The children were so enthused by their performance we decided we would gather all the instruments we could find. We had a try at playing the keyboard, guitar, xylophone and many more. We counted beats and made repeating patterns in small groups with the instruments. We hope you enjoy the video below, its just a little snippet of our musical week.

Hugo is a Determined Sadie Spider - For being so determined when taking on a new challenge and for trying to improve what you are doing by practising again and again. We are so impressed with that you are sharing your new skills with others and encouraging them to do their best too. Well done Hugo!
Rodnie is a Brave Tommy Turtle - For trying hard to play new games with different people. We are so impressed with your brave attitude to trying new things without being worried about making a mistake. Well done Rodnie!

On Friday 11th December we will be having a Christmas hat day in Nursery and Reception. We are asking that everyone brings a £1 donation to take part.
