Wow! We made it to the end of term and what a term it has been. This week has been so much fun as we have come together as a school family but still safely in our class bubbles. The whole school online nativity is beautiful and the nursery nativity is adorable, if you have not seen it yet, head over to the discover page and the nursery page for a real treat. Thursday saw all classes having their special Christmas parties and of course a tasty Christmas lunch, prepared by our cook Jacqui and her team. It’s been a different celebration this year but one we won’t forget and one that brought us all closer together.
In Art…
Year one created a Royal crown and wore it to become a pretend Prince or Princess, I was of course Queen Curtis.
Year two, four, five and six had lots of fun creating Elf art. Using their own photos, we made ourselves into fabulous Christmas characters. Lots of Father Christmas’s, elves, gingerbread men and snowmen to name a few. We also had lots of fun, jumping up at the sound of bells to joining a festive dance or two.
Year three completed their Collage topic by showing how their cutting kills have improved and creating some lovely Henri Matisse inspired art.
The Home Gallery has had more artwork added this week, do take a look.
*After the holidays ALL classes will need an ART SHIRT, an old t-shirt of an adult is best as it covers all the uniform (the children would normally use mine but due to covid restrictions, this is not possible this year). All classes have some topics which can get a tad messy. Please name these shirts and leave them in trays ready for Art each week. Thank you for your continued support.
Have a wonderful Christmas, stay safe and we look forward to welcoming you all back on Monday 4th January 2021.
God Bless
Mrs Curtis
