LESSON 2 ENGLISH - POETRY - THE HIGHWAY MAN

Mrs Harrison will be leading the Highwayman in class and at home Mrs H will be using some online lessons from Oak Academy these are terrific easy to follow lessons that make you think deeper! Watch the lesson and complete the work.

Now you know that Highwaymen were criminals ( later than Robin Hood!) There is a very famous legend about a Highwayman called Dick Turpin!!! I have linked you here to a website that tells you all about Dick Turpin- it is a short read - it would be fun to read it with someone if you can. How was he caught? The answer to this made me laugh!!! The other link is the Horrible Histories music video all about Dick Turpin! Enjoy!

LESSON 3 - HISTORY - Medieval Crime and Punishment

It is very important to really think about why an individual would commit a crime. Sometimes it is easy for us to believe it is just wrong. But what if you have no choice? Or do we always have a choice?

LESSON 4 - RE THE SERMON ON THE MOUNT

Last week you spent time reflecting on some of the things Jesus said. His teachings really made us think deeply. He was full of wisdom but he enlightened us to the will of God - his words bring us closer to understanding God. One of the most important lessons Jesus taught to the crowds was the Beatitudes. Now that is a strange word- it means “extreme blessings”. Jesus sat the people down and told them the blessings they will have if they follow his teachings. Watch the teaching film first

Take care - see you all tomorrow xxx
