Good morning everyone, how is your week going? Well we hope! We just wanted to say well done on the lovely learning comments on the blog on Purple Mash, it is lovely to see you encouraging and supporting each other.
If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together keep me in your heart. I’ll stay there forever.
Does anyone know which book character we borrowed this lovely quote from? We’ll give you a clue - He is yellow and doesn’t seem to like wearing trousers! Email us with your answers.
Reading
How are you getting on with your reading? Don’t forget to read for at least 30 minutes today and then take a quiz if you are ready to quiz. Try to get all of the questions in your quiz right, don’t forget to refer back to the book if you need to. The link to Accelerated Reader quizzes is on the orange ‘How to help your child’ button, it will take you straight to the login page that you see in school. How are you progressing up the rainbow? Don’t forget to let us know when you reach 100% of your target so that we can celebrate with everyone.
Maths
Children I am so impressed with your maths at the moment, you really are being resilient little Sadie Spiders and Curious Clara Clownfish spotting those patterns with your numbers. Well done! Question 3 the ‘Your turn’ slide is on Purple Mash again today, so please complete it on there.
English
Today we are going to learn about the suffix -ment. Watch the video below and learn how you can change words from a verb to a noun by adding -ment. I have set you some 2Dos (There are 3 altogether) to do once you have watched most of the video but you will need to go back to the video after doing your 2Dos so that you can do the dictations. Remember to think carefully about how you spell the root words please.
I have also added a button with new spelling words for you to learn. Please practise these throughout the week because next week I am going to set you a spelling quiz.
French
We are up and running with some French again, so watch Madame Jefferson and practise your colours.
