Good morning Year 1 and welcome to week 3 of the Spring term. I hope you all had a great weekend and are all ready for another week of growing our brains.
Here are your weekly challenges for this week. Remember these are for you to do if you have the time. I understand that home life is very busy at the moment, so please do not put pressure on yourselves. Before you complete the Geography learning, please watch the video I have posted in how to help your child. The video will explain how to complete worksheets on purple mash, so that I can see how you are getting on and give you feedback.
What are we learning today?
Phonics
I have removed the table to make the website more user friendly. If you need to check which videos are suitably challenging, you can find the table on the how to help your child page.
Make sure you are reading for at least 20 minutes every day. I would love you to quiz on Accelerated Reader at least once a week. You can find the link on the how to help your child page.

Year One, your monster posters were amazing! I am so impressed with you all. Your choice of adjectives was incredibly and lots of you used exclamation marks. You should all be really proud of yourselves!
One night Max wore his wolf suit and got up to lots of mischief. His mum called him “wild thing!”. She sent him to bed but he had not eaten his dinner.
1. What does the word ‘mischief’ mean?
2. Why do you think Max’s mum called him ‘Wild Thing’?
3. How do you think Max felt when he was sent to his room?
4. What do you think will happen next?
Have a brilliant day year 1! See you tomorrow.
Big smiles,
Miss Lane
