‘Oh I do like to be beside the seaside…’

Time has flown this week, the children are blowing us away with their enthusiasm to grow their brains and get ready for Year One!

This week have been thinking about our five senses at the beach, the class came up with some brilliant ideas of what we might see, hear, smell, taste and feel at the seaside. We then made this even better by adding a word to describe. We had everything from scrumptious ice lollies, to tasty fish and chips and shiny red crabs. We hope you can see all are effort and use of our sounds in the pictures below.

To continue our seaside theme this week, we did some observational drawing of some shells. We looked closely at the patterns, shapes and other things that made each shell unique.

This week we were set a challenge to get the duck to the top of the bucket without adding anymore water to what was already in there. We had some interesting suggestions, before someone thought about adding stones. We tried it and it worked, it is just like when we get in the bath and the water goes up. We decided to have a stone relay race to see which team could get their duck to the top of the bucket first, it was great fun!

Let’s Celebrate
