Good Morning Year 3,
I hope that you are all wide awake and ready for a great day of fun learning. I know that you are going to enjoy all of your learning tasks today, so find your lovely smile and have fun.
Today we have Maths, English, Art and PE - so It is going to be a super duper day.
Please send me some photos of your learning if you can and I will share them with everyone.
Maths:
Today in maths we are going to be telling the time using to the nearest quarter of an hour. So we will be using the times o’clock, quarter past, half past and quarter to.
Watch the video below and play the games and then complete the 2Do sheets on Purple Mash that I have set on Purple Mash.
Have fun!
English
Watch the video below and then write a menu for Mr Spider. I know that you will have lots of great ideas about what Mr. Spider would like to eat. (I remember your amazing menus for the Iron Man when we wrote them way back in February.) I have set you a 2Do on Purple Mash for you to write your menu on. Have fun and don’t forget to make sure that you save and submit your work to me when you have completed it.
Art
Mrs Curtis is really disappointed that she is not able to share the final art lesson of the year with you in school today but she has sent me an email to tell me what she was going to do with you, so here goes. Year 6 have just done their play of the Wizard of Oz and Mrs Curtis wants you to draw, paint or collage your favourite Wizard of Oz character. (You could even watch a little bit of the film to remind yourself who the different characters are.). When you have done this we would like you to send Mrs Curtis and me (Miss Brisco) a photo of your work so that we can share them on the website. Make sure that you think carefully and add lots of detail to your art work. Have fun.
PE
Since some of you would normally have PE on a Monday afternoon, I thought that you might all like to do some PE. I would like you to make up your own little obstacle course where you have to do different activities. This might include throwing into a hoop, skipping with a rope, hurdles if you have any, winding in and out of cones etc etc. You can make up your own course. If you can I would like you to complete the course using a timer (or a watch) and see how long it takes you. I would then like you to have another go at the obstacle course you have set up and see if you can beat your time. You might like to keep trying to see what your best time is. Enjoy. Don’t forget to send me a photo if you can.
COME ON ENGLAND!
Look who has been baking over the weekend. What a fabulous cake made to celebrate the England v Italy match last night. I’m sure that it tasted delicious. I hope that if you managed to watch the match you enjoyed it.
I hope that you enjoy today’s learning.
Don’t forget to check the Remote Learning page tomorrow too for some more learning.
Also, tomorrow (Tuesday) Mrs Lyons is doing a Zoom meeting at 9:15am so that you can see your new classroom. Don’t forget to login using the details I have sent to your parents.
Have a lovely day, Keep smiling x
