Art News… Week 6.
I can’t quite believe the year is over, what a year it has been and yet here we are! This last week has been so emotional with year one and three having to islolate and missing their final week with their teachers and friends to watching year six perform their wonderful play ‘The Wizard of OZ’. Yesterday I was lucky enough to watch year six put on a talent show and everyone provided support and appriecation of each other, it was a joy to share in.
In Art…
Year one moved to remote learning and created either a drawing, painting, collage or 3D model of the Great Fire of London.
Year two used photos of themselves and transfrormed into characters from The Wizard Of OZ. We had so many fabulous pictures, with the tinman and flying monkies being a firm favourite with the boys and Dorothy and Glinda for the girls.
Year three moved to remote learning and were challenged to research and create a picture or scene from The Wizard Of OZ.
Year four and five were given three photos of their own heads and were challenged to create a picture with themselves as characters. There were Star wars, super heros, occupations and film characters. We also had to jump up at a moments notice to join in some dance routines, good fun was had by all.
It is rather sad to be saying goodbye to our year six children, even more so as this year i was in their bubble so got to see more of them than any other class. I know it’s not really goodbye but so long and see you soon. Each of them are ready for the next step of their educational journey and take everything they have gathered from Our lady’s and fly.
Have a wonderful summer holiday, it will be September before we know it. Thank you for the kind messages, emails and cards, your words mean a lot.
Stay safe.
God bless
Mrs Curtis
