READING
Please read every night, please make a lovely comment in your child’s reading record to show they are ready to quiz and change at school. The children are all quizzing in school. It is lovely to see them taking ownership of their book choices.
MATHS
As you know the children have been counting in tens as below. Can you practice counting backwards in tens. Count back then stop and ask your child for the next number.
1 ten is ten
2 tens are twenty
3 tens are thirty
4 tens are forty
All the way to 10 tens are one hundred!

SPELLING
Today we explored: Soft “c”. I have attached the spellings (flashcards) here and all the children have a set of the words in their reading folder too. Please read these tricky words together and learn the following for an quiz next week:
face, race, price, certain, circus, except, city, police.
Science
We have had fun today in science. We took a selection of materials and placed them over a beaker. We then dripped water onto them using a pippet - we wanted to see which materials was waterproof.
Can you collect waterproof items from around your house. Can you think of a way to test to see if they really are waterproof.
