The children have come back to school ready to learn! Thank you for sharing your holiday adventure this was a highlight of the week for the children.
On Monday, Mrs Gregan guided us through our intention this lent, not to give things up, but to do more. Following this, we spent time in class quietly with God in our worships. Sasha, Michael and Edward led us in a lovely worship sharing how God asks us to serve one another - they gave us the mission to help others this coming week. In RE we will be exploring the events of Easter week. We began with Palm Sunday - what a joyful event. The children know that they will be creating a Palm Sunday assembly this half term which we will be inviting you to. It will be joyful.
Please remember if the children - offer to do a job around the house can you donate to their Lenten Box we are raising money for CAFOD
MAGIC MOMENTS.
We have been exploring factual books in English. Adding and subtracting numbers up to 100 in maths. We started our new topics in history and science “The Wright Brothers” and “Living Things and their Environments”. Played percussion instruments while singing in music and in PE we worked as a team with an memory adventure game. Finally, meeting up with our Year 5 partner was lovely- they came to class to swap Lenten Boxes.
HOW CAN YOU HELP AT HOME
Please let your child play numbots - this quick mental maths practice is key.
Research - Planes. You could complete a piece of artwork. Discover the history of planes used in the war. Who was the first person to fly around the world? What is the smallest plane? The Largest plane? Go wherever your curiosity takes you.
BIRDS - go bird spotting. Find out the names of different native birds. Complete artwork of birds. Go to the cinema and watch the film Migration
