In the blink of an eye, the final day of Year 1 has arrived. Despite the many challenges the world has thrown at us this year, we have all arrived safely at the Summer Holidays, with brilliant brains and huge hearts. We have had so many happy times in Year 1, now treasured memories to last a lifetime. I couldn’t be prouder of the children and how far they have come this year. When I remember that these 30 Bobby Bee’s also missed a big chunk of their time in Reception, I am even more in awe of their resilience and determination.
I want to say a huge thank you for the gorgeous messages I have received from parents this week. Your children will always have a place in my heart and I cannot thank you enough for your support and kindness. I am forever grateful I got to be your child’s teacher and although I am so sad to say goodbye to them, I know that they are more than ready to begin their Year 2 journey. Last week, Teddy helped me to count how many seconds it took to get from the the Year 1 classroom to the Year 2 classroom. It warms my heart to know that I am only 6 seconds away from 30 happy faces and that we will still get to see lots of each other.
What have we been learning this week?
I hope you enjoy some snapshots of the learning that has been happening at home this week. Look at all those smiles!

Keep a look out on the Year 2 page on Tuesday, as there will be a little message from Miss Woodend, explaining all about what to expect in September.
Children return to school on Thursday 2nd September. Please see Miss Hornby’s blog for changes in staggered times and house teams.
