‘Christmas is the spirit of giving without a thought of getting’
Thomas S Monson
Thank you so much for the lovely gifts and for all of your support this term. I can’t believe how quickly it has gone and I am looking forward to the rest of the year together.
We have had another busy fun week, on Monday we walked to church and watched the KS2 Christmas Carol Concert it was a wonderful start to our week.
In RE we have learnt about Jesus viviting the temple when he was a baby he met Simeon and Anna and they knew he was the messiah the son of God. They spread the news that Jesus was the one we have been waiting for, he is a light to all nations. At the end of the day we sat in a circle around a candle and said:
The moon gives a silver light at night.
The sun gives a golden light by day.
Jesus is the light of the world day and night.
He is always there , showing us the light of God’s love, and making the world a brighter place.
We know that Jesus is always with us, he is the light of the world day and night, he shows us the light of God’s love.
We continued to practise our computing if you can keep practising logging on and off it will really help us as we can start our learning quickly. We started coding we found out that an algorithm is a set of instructions. We had to give the fish a clear set of instuctions to follow so they would move.
Christmas Party
Yesterday it was our Christmas party we had so much fun and santa came to see us!
After the party we decorated biscuits, we made a reindeer, a bauble and a Christmas pudding, they looked amazing, enjoy eating them :).
Let’s Celebrate:
As a class we voted for our cerificate awardees, who should take Henry home and the Butterflies.
Well done to our certificate awardees: some of the children’s comments were they are kind and they work hard.
As a class we also voted for the person we felt should take Henry home we agree! Well done :).
Reminders:
Polite reminder that all children across school should bring water in their bottles and not juice. This is something that we discuss regularly in school as part of our discussions about healthy snacks and healthy lunches.
Please can you check you have the right uniform, some children may have taken home the wrong clothes after the nativty.
