Note for Science: If you have filled in your sunflower diary, please add some more pages. You are taking brilliant care of them and some of you have now planted them in your gardens. There will be sunflowers all over St Annes soon!

Reading
Remember to read everyday, just like we do at school. I would love you to read for at least 20 minutes each day, be that a physical book, an ebook on Epic or Accelerated Reader. If your book has an option to quiz on AR or Epic, please remember to do so.
English
This week will be reading That Rabbit Belongs to Emily Browne, by Cressida Cowell. Listen to the story here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnffEOoI6ZM.
Discuss: What did Emily call her bunny? Write down the name of her bunny and talk about names needing capital letters, e.g. Stanley. Ask your child what their toys are called. Label their toys with their names including a capital letter, e.g. Sam the snake, Jerry the mouse, Simba the lion.
Recap the story which describes the Queen’s golden teddy bear (0:40 – 1:03mins). Listen to and write down the description of the bear, e.g. He is stiff and new. He is a golden colour but looks horrible. Etc. Try to encourage your child to use the words ‘and’ and ‘but’ in their writing. They could draw a picture of him too, if they like.
Check writing for full stops, capital letters and the appropriate use of ‘and’ and ‘but’.
