Welcome back after the half term break, a week to refresh and renew. The children have come back with their positive attitudes and a thirst for fun and knowledge. Even the rain can’t hold us back!
In Art…
All Classes except year five (They made theirs before we broke up for the holiday), have been busy creating wonderful cards for someone special for Mothering Sunday, these are made within our curriculum topics and are made with much love. These will be coming home nearer the time.
The Lytham Heritage Centre Art Exhibition comes to an end this weekend. It has been such a success. Many children and their families have been to see all the amazing art work from the eight schools involved and have told me all about it. On Wednesday evening our two highly commended children (from reception and year five) and I went to a private viewing at the Heritage Centre, where we were joined by the children, their families and staff from the other schools. The children received a lovely art set, certificate and badge from the Mayor. We as a school were joint winners and have received art products as a prize. I chose clay and clay tools, as all the children love working with clay. Congratulations to all the children who had art on display, I will be giving these pieces back to you very soon along with a certificate from the Heritage Centre.
Have a wonderful weekend, hopefully the rain will stop for a while.
God Bless
Mrs Curtis
