This is a very strange week, as we prepare for the unknown. We are all in the same boat and need to work together and help each other where we can. As from 3.30 today school is now closed to the majority of us and we are led by our Government for instruction and guidance. Here at Our Lady’s, we truly do love each other and mean it when we say, if we can help, we will. All class teachers will be writing a daily teaching blog for the children to do at home.
I also will be creating an ART activity blog for each class on the day they normally have art with me.
Reception on Wednesday’s.
Year One on Monday’s.
Year Two on Thursday’s.
Year Three on Thursday’s.
Year Four on Tuesday’s.
Year Five on Wednesday’s.
and Year Six on Friday’s.
Three books came home with your children, one for Maths, one for English and one for ART. Your activities can be as simple or as complex as you want to make them (on your own or involving your family members, it’s up to you). If you don’t have the ‘right’ items/paint/colours etc, be creative, use what you can, show me you don’t need fancy equipment, show me what you can DO!
Your Homework (Rec, Y1, Y2, Y3, Y4, Y5 and Y6) this weekend is to decorate your ART Book, to show your personality. That could be covering with collage, photos, painting, drawing, anything that you would like, that shows the real you!
Your Art activities start on Monday (Year one). These will be written on your Art class page to the right of this blog. If you want to share what you have done feel free to email me your photos and queries to r.curtis@ourladystarofthesea.lancs.sch.uk . I will post my favourite photos assigned to the activity. Keep your Art book safe, I will want to see them all when we return to school (I will also be completing one).
As we don’t know when that will be, I am sad to say that Food Technology will be postponed for now, but I will try and add some things you could make with your families at home after Easter as some of your Art activities.
Stay Creative and remember… In a world where you can be anything, be kind.
Stay safe and I’ll miss you all.
God Bless
Mrs Curtis
