Be kind to yourself, you’re doing the best you can!
I miss you all so much, I would love to be in The Create room sharing our Art lessons together, learning and laughing together, but for now we must stay safe at home. Each week I have tried to find you all art activities that everyone can do, no matter what we have at home. You were all given a book for your art and as long as you have a pen or pencil you can do my sessions. I have loved receiving your emails and photos. The work you are producing is fantastic. Keep at it, keep sharing, so we can celebrate our creativity together.
In Art this week…
All classes had a 3D themed art activity this week. I provided recipes for salt dough, clay and play dough. of course if you already had clay or play dough, these saved you time.
Reception were asked to create a hand print, either on their own or as a family plaque. These have been beautiful and a lovely keepsake.
Year one created a tree/fence/wall person or family, using dough as a base and using things from outside to make the features.
Year two made their own ‘Helping Hand’ like mine in the Create room. I must say that all yours were absolutely beautiful and much nicer than mine. Well done year two, it’s lovely to hear from so many of you.
Year three made a dish or bowl, these have all been so different and all wonderful.
Year four made a hanging mobile, we were treated to spirals, rainbows and the Luty’s had four J’s as the whole family are J’s.
Year five made a mask of their choosing, from clowns to Bart Simpson to Donald Trump!
Year six made animals from their dough and as year six only do their art on Friday, I hope to see these early next week.
In the Art Club page we are adding our NHS Rainbows. If you would like to have yours displayed and not sent it to me yet email them to r.curtis@ourladystarofthesea.lancs.sch.uk
Have a lovely weekend, I believe the sunshine has promised to return. Take care, stay safe.
God bless
Mrs Curtis
