Good Morning Year 5 - you continue to be reporters on the school newspaper “Our Lady Star” this week. Watch out as you are given two days to complete a written task - but of course I looking for your very best work. Remember too about the stars on your feedback: Gold (great - greater depth), Blue (spot o you got it), Green (you are getting there) and Red (oh dear you have missed the learning).

Today we work mentally as we apply our estimation skills to long multplication! The lesson have two halves. Firstly the film and the tasks, then a unit of IXL to complete today!

Today we explore the language of chaos! Or as Mrs Hotchkiss has spelt it choas!!!! Enjoy exploring as these words will come in handy for your report writing tomorrow!

Time to chill a little as we get lost in this weeks art task set by our very own creative Mrs Curtis! Our foil creations were amazing last week and there were some fantastical creatures too!

DURATION LESSON 4: To understand syncopated rhythms
This lesson includes a warm-up game, learning a traditional song from Nigeria, followed by an exploration of syncopated rhythms - exciting!!!
Finally - quiet time
Today the children in class came together for worship. This week they will be sharing the story of Lazarus. It is a story of LOVE and HOPE. Our classroom Iris are blooming we planted then in hop in September and we waited and waited and they came. Just as Jesus waits for us to come to him.
