It is with a very heavy heart that I write this first of many daily remote learning blogs!! As you will know from the email sent late Monday night - after the PM’s announcement that Mrs Harrison and I will be meeting and planning all the online lessons today. We will be filming our lessons so that the children continue to feel our presence and support. School will be closed on Tuesday but I have already set you work for today! These should be fun and lead on form our Crime and Punishment lessons completed in school on Monday! Go for it!

Now that you have a good understanding of Robin and how he must of felt on his return to England we can complete an incidental write! This is a short but carefully crafted piece of writing. Imagine you are Robin and you have returned to England - arriving at your ancestral home. Here you find your father has been murdered and your home vandalized, you even discover that it is the Kings brother Prince John who has betrayed you, your father and the King himself.
What would Robin have written in his diary that night. Would his heart have been full of rage and thoughts of revenge? What would he plan to do in the future - how would he reflect on the things he has discovered and seen that day?
Below I have attached the “success criteria” for a diary and a planning sheet if you wish to use this before you write. You will find a template for this writing in Purple Mash. Please use the font style and size already selected. I have included too pages for those who will get carried away (wonderful). I do expect a Year 5 pupil to write one comprehensive and emotional page. I will be reading and marking these so that you will ready for constructive and helpful feedback.

We will dive into formal maths tomorrow! We will be working on our multiples and factors so can you complete a good monster session on your TT Rockstars? I can see how many minutes you practice over the past seven days so I’ll give a big shout out to those children who go for it!!
