‘Do ordinary things with extraordinary love’ - Mother Teresa

It has been a busy week in Reception, I think we are all ready for a long weekend to recharge our batteries! We have seen brilliant moments of team work this week, supporting our friends in their achievements, when they are sad or when they need and extra pair of hands.

We have been growing our brains by reading The Three Little Aliens and the Big Bad Robot, the children were fantastic at finding similarities and differences with the original Three Little Pigs story. We thoroughly enjoyed and creating some fantastic puppets and backgrounds for our alternative Three Little Pigs story. What a range of ideas we had, three little monkeys, three little elves, three little fish. Houses made from shells, metal and even toilet paper! I cannot wait for the children to develop their stories further this week and share them with you soon.

In RE we talked about good news that we have had and how it made us feel. We heard about how Mary Magdalene was the first to see Jesus after he resurrected. the children enjoyed acting out the moment she saw Jesus.

We have also discovered something very interesting indeed in our shed! See our ‘Weekly home learning’ page for more information!
