Art News… Lockdown… Week 6
We made it! We have survived the highs and lows of the last six weeks and have come to the end of this half term, our reward, a well deserved week off!
In Art…
My highlight of remote learning this week, has to be year three, four and five’s ‘Food is Art’ challenge. We have some budding chefs out there, as photos of the most amazing cakes, sandwiches and fruit art came in. Nicola send me photos of her making doughnuts, she told me that in Poland it was Fat Thursday and they were celebrating with doughnuts, what a wonderful celebration. Harry made a slab chocolate cake, which was so big and so tasty looking.
My school highlight was with year five as they created clay slab vases with a coloured inlay, the perseverance was incredible, I was very proud of everyone especially Ava, who showed great determination.
Have a look at a sample of the amazing work from our remote and school learners this week.
Have a lovely week of rest and relaxation, we will be back on the 22nd February with some more great remote learning and hopefully it won’t be much longer until we can all be back together again.
Stay safe
God bless
Mrs Curtis
