Our first full week back to school and it has been a cracker of a week, as everyone gets to grips with their new classes, timetables and routines. It is so fabulous to see happy, smiley faces at every turn.
In art…
No Reception Art this week as our youngest artists are on half days, but I can not wait to get into their classroom on Tuesday and get to know everyone over a fun art activity.
Year one, were very excited to come to the Create room as they have only visited once in the summer term. They quickly settled into the ways of the Art room and created some lovely pictures for a combined class art piece.
Year two, three, four, five and six all had a chilled first session back to Art, we discussed what our plans are for the year, what we did over the summer, Art club, when our birthdays are and created class art pieces to decorate the walls of the art room. Next week we all start our new art topic, Drawing.
A little reminder that all classes except Recption will need an Art T Shirt in school. An old adult T Shirt is perfect as it’s easy to put on and big enough to cover the whole uniform. Buttoned up shirts are not ideal as the child needs to be able to dress themselves easily. Thank you.
Year one and four, year three and five have the opportunity to come to my lunch time art club on a Tuesday. These will last for five weeks and then we pick a new group and offer more children the chance. I can’t wait. The first club starts next Tuesday and children will be told who is in the first groups on Monday morning.
Have a great weekend, let’s do it all again next week!
God bless
Mrs Curtis
