“Play gives children a chance to practice what they are learning.” ~ Mr. Rogers

What a wonderful week we have had! We have welcomed our newest members to the school, as the Reception children have joined us at lunch time and they have settled in so beautifully. The children have been full of smiles and waves as I have passed through, it really has warmed my heart.

On the playground has been just as delightful, with happy smiling faces and laughter ringing out. Year Four have been taken their learning onto the playground by playing a game they had learnt in P.E. not to mention the budding scientists spotting seed heads and discussing that particular plants method of seed dispersal.

As the sun shone down, games of doggies, super heroes, hopscotch and tig have been played. For some children, relaxing in the Autumn sun with their friends or reading a good book, was all the enjoyment they needed. Whilst others enjoyed a good game of football, tennis or basketball. Fine tuning their newly learned skills.
