READING

The children have already completed their Rising Star test and I have set their target for the half term. They have also completed a WPM (words per minute) fluency assessment with me (Mrs H). Using their two assessment tools I’m able to see where the children are starting and to show them the progress hey are making. Please read every night, create lovely reading routines - calm and pleasurable.

MATHS

I will be teaching numbers beyond 1 million and decimal places this half term. But Mrs Lyons finished the year with time so I will be covering this in my fluency sessions. Please complete IXL T! to practice.

HISTORY - PURPLE MASH

Homework book - most homework will be online, only specific tasks will be in the book)

It s that time of the year again when we decorate our homework book (backing). Please allow this task to reflect your personality - photos of hobbies pets and families make these books rather special.

CLASS COUNCILLOR

If you would like to stand for class councillor this year you will need to make a short presentation for the class. Please make this something you read out or perform: Poem, speech, song etc. Sadly we don’t have time for tech (powerpoint) so avoid this media.
