To write a full page (4 mini paragraphs) of Haiku style poetry about a topic of their choosing. Haiku is a short japenese style of poetry which is written in mini paragraphs which are 3 lines long.

It is written in a 5,7,5 style with each number representing the amount of syllables for each line. For example;

I love to play golf (5 syllables)

Even when it is raining (7 syllables)

Golf is the greatest (5 syllables|)

Christmas songs

To practice the hymms for our christmas concert at church. The children have all been given a booklet containing all the song lyrics. This video is from our first practice so children and parents know the rhythm and pace of the song.
