Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Dear children and parents,

Sometimes, the end of term can feel a little fraught- not this week! We have had a wonderful time together, sharing memories, watching films, dancing, singing and playing. We have tidied our room, sorted the PE store and helped everyone with jobs that needed to be done! I cannot thank the children enough for their generosity of spirt and their endless kindness. We said a final goodbye to Esme has she moves onto her new school. Embraced Mrs Curtis as she enters retirement and of course we celebrated (with great joy) alongside the whole school - making Miss Hornby’s last few days really special.

Finally, we shared pictures of Mason performing at the RSC theatre Stratford- as promised I’ve popped some pictures on below!

When we return in September the children will be entering Year 6 with all the responsibilities this year group holds. I’m looking forward to working alongside them to lead and serve.

Homework for the holidays

The children are to film a House Captain speech ready to show the younger children in the second week back. Today we watched great examples of effective speeches all made by our current Year 6. We were very inspired! We recognised that the speech needs to be inspirational, directed at the younger children, unique to us and enjoyable to watch.

Finally, from the whole Year 5 team a masive thankyou for trusting us to teach your children this year and for the many lovey gifts and kind words. Every kind thought is so gratefully recieved.

God bless always have a wonderful holiday.
