This week, the children above led us in a beautiful worship about God’s Power. The class said that they feel God’s power when they made their First Holy Communion, when they need help because they are angry and when they are with their friends. It was such a lovely worship- thank you Layla for being a stand in too!
The children have had a very sporty week! I have included a video below showing them practising for Sports day and showing their lovely gymnastic sequences which they did in pairs. Also a few snaps of us enjoying some cake to celebrate making our First Holy Communion - (Mrs Lyons had to get some fractions learning in as we cut the cake and decided how many parts we would need!)
We have also learned all about what sound is this week - through a series of investigations. Then we tested and measured in decibels who was the loudest in the class! In English we have loved doing some paired writing, creating contrasting settings and then drawing and writing about the beautiful goddess of the emerald lake!
Let’s Celebrate!
This week, Roseanna has received a Creative Kiki Chameleon certificate for some beautiful writing about the goddess of the emerald lake.
Niamh has received a Co-operative roger Robin and Focused Cooper Crab certificate for being a kind partner but also being able to avoid any distractions to focus brilliantly.
PE stars this week go to Archie and Elsie for a brilliant and creative sequence in gymnastics and for being supportive team members in all sports.
Attentive and Discerning butterflies
This week we thank Sophia for just being quietly kind and compassionate. Also Ben for being discerning about giving his support to all his team.

Friday 7th July. Parent occupations day. As part of our Year 4 geography topic, we are exploring the world of work and industry. We would love parents to volunteer to come into school at 2:00 to be interviewed and quizzed by groups of children about their occupation. Have a think over the half term and I will put a form on the next blog so you can sign up if you wish.
Monday 10th July: Parents are invited at 2pm into school to watch Year 4 and Year 5 Clarinet concert.
There may be more! Please have a lovely two weeks with your children and enjoy the sun! There is a little maths homework to keep them tiding over. The National Multiplication check is on the first week back.
God bless,
Mrs Lyons, Mrs Mather and Miss Hennessey
