What a busy but lovely week we have had in Year 4! This has seen the start to our health an happiness fortnight. We have been thinking about what happiness really is! We have focused on keeping ourselves safe and road safety. We have learned about the green cross code and actually practised crossing our pretend road on the playground. We have thought about safe and unsafe places to cross. Now is probably a great age to teach them how to cross the road if you haven’t already.
We have also had our Gym Jam Jog. Year 4 were full of energy and so was the teacher (for a little while) Thanks so much for all your sponsor money which will be used for our playground castle.
In English this week, children have been busy writing a story based on our novel. In maths we have been revising telling the time - children were very honest and said they do struggle with this! We have gone over o’clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to the hour if you want to practice at home.
On THursday, children had an excellent session in First aid. They listened so well. Here are some pictures below. Also included are pictures of our little trip to Hope Street Park to go bowling on Friday. If your child did not go this Friday, they will go next week.
Let’s Celebrate!
This week, Esther and Dominic have received a Cooper Crab/Kiki Chameleon certificates. Both of you have been so creative and focused this week - leading to super stories!
PE stars this week go to Archie and Michael for super technique
Intentional butterfly
This week we thank Luke for looking out for a hurt friend.

Friday 14th July. Parent occupations day. As part of our Year 4 geography topic, we are exploring the world of work and industry. We would love parents to volunteer to come into school at 2:00 to be interviewed and quizzed by groups of children about their occupation. This will help them understand the world of work! Here is the form for you to register your interest in this event.
Have a gorgeous weekend in this sunshine!
God bless,
