How time is flying! Our second week of the Spring Term has been bursting with creativity and learning. The children have continued thinking about how they can be active in the world and change what they can for the better. They thought of lots of beautiful examples of how they can shine Jesus’ light in our classroom and make our school a welcoming and happy place for all.
What have we been learning this week?
In Maths the children have been learning about 2D and 3D shapes. The children are growing in confidence spotting 3D shapes in the real world and explaining ‘how they know’ what shape it is.
In English we wrote a Wanted Poster for the Gruffalo together, using amazing adjectives. The children then created their own friendly monsters and made a Wanted Poster for them. From Gardening Monsters, who water your plants when you’re sleeping, to Kindness Monsters who make you smile, the children have shown how imaginative they are!
In Science the children have been describing the properties of materials and grouping them according to this properties. Can they identify materials that are transparent, opaque, bendy, stiff etc. over the weekend?
Hip-Hip-Hooray!
