This week has been a busy one in Year 4! We have learned how to write a newspaper report to tell everyone about the exciting news that Charlotte had miraculously woven words in a web on the barn. Children then wrote another newspaper report in RE to report about the ten plagues and Moses leading the Hebrews out of Egypt. Very dramatic!
We have been learning about the parts of a flower and their functions in Science. Children made their own flowers and bees out of playdough and then re-enacted Pollination. Children have worked hard to help each other this week and in many previous weeks. I have included a collection of pictures below to show a snapshot of our super learning over this half term. In Geography, chidren have learned about how plants can survive in extreme environments and have researched different deserts - including Antarctica - a cold desert. We have also begun column subtraction by playing the exchanging game seen in the picture above.
In RHE this week, we have completed our 4th Kidsafe lesson. This was all about how to keep our bodies safe. Children may want to talk about what they learned. We also discussed safe and unsafe secrets. Please read the letter below outlining the session.
