It was so lovely to meet so many parents on Wednesday and share our happy classroom and routines with you! If you couldn’t make it, the button below will link you to the evening’s powerpoint:
What a great week! In our worships this week, we have thought about the disciples arguing over which one of them is the greatest. Jesus gives them a message which we all learn so much from ‘If anyone wants to be first, they must make themselves last and servant of all.’ In RE, children have planned out their own worships to deliver to the class and have learned about the challenges and blessings from God to Abraham.
In English this week, children have been doing some wonderful writing! They have been explaining how different seeds disperse using causal conjunctions, quantifiers and very professional, scientific vocabulary.
In maths we have been focusing on doubles in our mastering number sessions and have been regrouping in column addition.
In PE outside, children played team games to practise their skills and in inside PE created a sequence including jumps, balances and travelling moves.
Today, in our Kidsafe lesson, we learned all about the nature of bullying and how to assertively say ‘no’ when in a situation. Please read the letter below which explains in more detail.
Conversation Starters.
Which invertebrates did we find in our school garden? Which class of invertebrates were they? Can you find any in yours?
2.My Happy Mind - this week we discussed how our Amgdala is the part of the brain that keeps us safe from danger. However it is a simple part of our brain and it can perceive some things as a threat (like speaking in front of a crowd) when they are not. We need to wake our thinking brain to help us to manage our worry and rationalise it.
This week’s question, “ What do you fear? Is this a real threat? How could you wake your rational, thinking brain to help you deal with this?”
Here are some pictures of our first 3 weeks:
Let’s Celebrate!

This week, our learning certificates are as follows:

Children all now have a house badge pin to wear each day on their uniforms with pride! Please encourage them to keep this in a safe place and take it off each evening when they get home.
