Christmas is fast approaching and like every Advent, it is a time to just stop and reflect. During Wednesday Word this week, we discussed the stresses of Christmas and how we could just make a little time for ourselves during this busy time. Thank you to all of the children who took the time to come to Advent Mass this morning, to have so many Year 6s there really makes a difference to our school community. Evie and Bethany read so beautifully and Megan and Mati led the offertory in a gentle way. Thank you.
Awards
Well done to Anwar and Hiruni this week, an excellent week of learning.
Anwar, you have contributed to our class discussions on justice so knowledgeably. Your answers and reflections have been profound. Keep up your contributions to our class discussions - your answers are so valuable.
Hiruni - thank you for joining our class family, you are such a welcome addition. Your work ethic is second to non and you constantly help in our classroom to make everything run smoothly. Thank you Hiruni.
Learning
Learning has been really full on this week and I have been in and out of the class like a yo-yo. It is really important that I continue to learn alongside the children. This week I went on a writing course to look at the writing units that we will be completing after Christmas - I am really excited! There will be a fun piece of homework coming home over the holidays that you can complete as a family!
With two weeks to go, next week we will start our church preparations for our Christmas Concert. Please encourage your children to learn their lines ready for next week.
