Time for a holiday!

It has been a super busy half term! We have focused a lot of our time on reading this week to give as many children the opportunity to finish the books they are currently reading. A number of children are reading trickier books with more points but they are taking a little longer to get through. Despite this, a significant number of children have reached their target or have achieved 70% or above. It will be good to chat to you all about reading progress at our next parents meeting on Wednesday 11th March.

Alongside these sessions we have been learning how to debate. We understand that there are two teams, one affirmative (for) and one negative (against). We have debated, school uniform; should homework be doubled and whether the Minotaur should have been encased in a labyrinth! Maths has proved tricky this week as we master the difference between multiples, factors and prime numbers. Learning those tables is crucial- we do have some stars in the room- They include: Darcey, Zofia and Jakub. Keep practising over the holidays and I’ll mention you too! On Tuesday we completed our termly E-safety day. This time we explored on-line identify;malware; using social media responsibly and being digitally resilient too. Our debating skills came in handed as we explored for and against arguments for various digital issues! On Thursday we welcomed Craig McCann to school and we had a wonderul time - the exercises were really hard!! In the afternoon we raced and competed in a throwing competition- Gabriel just pipped Jack! There was lots of cheering and we had a great time!

Have a lovely family break! Please see homework page
