The end of another week, what are you enjoying about learning at home? Don’t say the snacks, my niece and nephew are trying to persuade my sister into several snacks in their home learning day. I read something about telling snackaholic children to use their ‘school stomach’ which made me smile.
Maths
Today, we would like you to practise your 3 times tables, can you invent a game outside to help you learn them, make a song, learn a dance or paint/chalk them somewhere? Be creative and remember to practise them in and out of order, the aim is for someone to be able to give you a random calculation and for you to be able to say the answer quickly.

When you have finished your book, please make sure that you quiz on Accelerated Reader. We have set new targets. We already have some children at around 60%, close to their next one already! How quickly can you meet yours? What is your favourite place to read? How many books have you read recently? What has been your favourite book since Home Learning began
Writing:
Have another look at the poem “The Magic Box” from yesterday. Think about how the poet used his senses to describe what he would put in the box. Think about how he used adjectives to help create his pictures and also how he also used alliteration and powerful verbs.
Today you are going to have a go at writing your own poem about your own magic box. What will you put in the box? How will you describe what you put in the box? Remember to use your senses and your imagination.
Look carefully at how the poet set out his poem. Try to set yours out in the same way.
How creative and imaginative can you be? (Kiki Chameleon points to those who are really creative and imaginative) Have fun!
RE
Read the Easter Sunday story of Jesus’ Resurrection.
Imagine that you were one of the disciples or one of the ladies who went to the tomb and found it empty. Write a diary entry to explain what happened and how you felt. Make sure that you include lots of detail and description to create a picture of the events and your feelings.
Remember to work neatly. Think carefully about punctuation and your handwriting. Remember pen points!!!!
