What an exciting week we have had in Reception, full of imagination and fun. Our routines are slowly but surely falling back into place and although at times we forget, we are trying our best to be cooperative Rodger Robins in our school. We have loved the glimpses of sunshine this week and enjoyed spending so much time learning outside. Everything was going well until Wednesday lunch time…when all our construction toys disappeared!
Please watch our news report below to find out more!
We didn’t have paper big enough to draw the giant! We decided to use chalk and draw an enormous giant. We talked about what the giant might look like and what words we would use to describe it. Inside the giant’s body we wrote words to describe how we would feel if we saw the giant.
Before making our news report we talked about the facts of what happened, when it took place, where it happened. We also thought about the clues we had that let us know who did it. Here is our news report story map, maybe you could have ago at home.
We made some posters to let people know what had happened, so many children were using their sound knowledge to fred the words, we were so impressed!
Let’s Celebrate
Jackson is a Focused Cooper Crab - For trying hard to concentrate during Read Write Inc. We are so impressed with your improved focus on the carpet and during group activities. Well done Jackson!
Mia-Grace is an Enthusiastic Bobby Bee - For being so enthusiastic and working hard with all our Read Write Inc learning this week. We are so impressed with all the effort you are putting in with reading at home and your enthusiasm to take on a challenge to learn and practice new sounds. Well done Mia-Grace!
