Art News… Week 4
The weeks are flying past, four weeks gone already! Autumn has us in full force, as the winds are howling, the rain is beating and the temperature has dropped, but we are still smiling and enjoying every minute of the school day.
In Art…
Reception created their portraits, these are going to take pride of place in the school hall for all to see.
Year one had to have a steady hand as we drew around different items, including their hand and shoe.
Year two used different types of paper, to see what paper was best for drawing and writing on and why.
Year three listened to the tale of The Hippocrump and drew how they believed he looked, using all the shading and texture skills they have learned.
Year four created a magical journey in a pumpkin, just like Jeffrey the Maggot. We planned each section and then drew it. After we told our story to our partner.
Year five finished their Hundertwasser sessions by adding an aceatate layer and drawing over and adding detail to the bold backgrounds. Some didn’t manage to finish so ten minutes will be given at the start of next week’s session.
Year six came to Art to discover an array of fresh fruit and vegatables on the desks. We had to look for the tones. we have become so good at and draw these using light, mid and dark tones.
Art Club painted a mask. mixing their own colours to create an original and personal mask.
Have a wonderful weekend, hopefully the rain will let up a little, as we go forward into next week.
God bless
Mrs Curtis
