What an unbelievable week! In the midst of everything that has happened this last year, just to experience a bit of the ‘Year 6 experience’ with the class has been such a magical and humbling experience. Not being able to take the children on their residential was disappointing for them and for us, I just hope that we have managed to get as close to a residential as we possibly could have done.
The children have astounded me this week with their team work, leadership skills, determination, resilience and quest to have as much fun as possible. I knew that they were a special class - even more so now. I have so many photographs of this week, it isn’t possible to share them all on the website. Over the next few weeks, I will put together a film with the photos so that you can relive our week with us.
Thank you for embracing the residential at home too. I have seen lots of examples of tea being made, washing up being done and beds being made…let’s hope this continues! I will include all of those photos in the film.
For now, enjoy a little slideshow of each day.
Day 1 - Coastal Walk
Day 2 - Water Parks
Day 3 - Adventure Golf
Day 4 - Stanley Park
Day 5 - The Beach
Next week, we turn our attention to The Wizard of Oz and sports days. We will be in the hall on Monday morning to kick start our production. Each afternoon next week, the children will be supporting the rest of the school outside at Sports Day. The day that they are helping, they will need to be in their PE kits, please check the lists below.
Have a wonderful weekend. I am sure that the children will sleep well tonight.
