The Shakespeare Festival at The Grand is fast approaching- this is the key information:
Monday 7th - All children need to bring black top and black leggings /jogger (no logos or flashes) black shoes/pumps and black sock . Rehearsals in school next week.
Monday 14th March arrive at school at 8:20am - we will be travelling to the theatre via coach for our technical rehearsal with the staff at the Grand 9:05 to 10:05 -return to school
TUESDAY - PERFORMANCE DAY Performing for the general public and school at 1:00pm and 6:00pm
Tuesday 15th March we will be at the Theatre for a full rehearsal with the other schools - we will be setting off at 8:20 again. At 1:00pm we will be performing the play to an audience. School will provide transport back so children can come home for tea and rest. The children then have to return to Blackpool for 5:20pm - meeting Mrs Hotchkiss at the stage door entrance (back of theatre) for a second performance at 6:00pm. The show will finish at approx 7:00- 7:15ish all children will need picking up after the show from outside at Bella Pasta just down the Church street (20m from the Theatre
Coach payment £5 for both days payable on Parent Pay

The week has been busy! Rehearsals, creative writing linked to the play, long multiplication, exploring how non-luminous objects reflect light in science and of course- prayer and reflection for Lent! Finally a highlight of the week World Book day- thank you for all your creativity much fun was had

WALK FOR HUNGER
Finally, as you can see from Miss Hornby’s Newsletter we are working together to raise money during Lent (almsgiving). We are joining CAFOD on their mission. I’ve post more details about what the children have decided during council next week
