“Children have always learned and created places for themselves through play.” ~ Donna R. Barnes

I think we have all learned this week, that spring does not nessasarily mean warmer weather! As the week has progressed, we have seen the familiar sights of wooly hats, scarves and gloves returning to the playground. This however, did not dampen the childrens lunch time fun.

We have witnessed Jedi Knights saving the galaxy, vets tending to animal injuries and ponies galloping around to keep warm. Games of footnall, basketball and netball, have kept the juniors busy, as the upper keystage 2 fine tune their skills for upcoming events. Tennis has also made a return, we certainly have some budding stars in the making.

Whatever the children have been playing, they have continued to build those all important strong bonds of friendship. Navigating their way through cooperation and problem solving skills to enable their lunchimes a filled with fun and laughter.
