Year 2 - "How lucky are we to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard"

Well… we’ve made it to the end of the Year 2 journey, and what a ride it’s been! I know I say it every week in every blog, but I simply couldn’t feel prouder of each and every child! They have tackled so many challenges this year; not only in their learning but socially and emotionally too. It’s been the children’s first full year of learning in school and they have coped so well with everything thrown their way. They have grown so much in confidence and are certainly ready for the challenges that Year 3 will bring. I am going to miss seeing their smiling faces walking through the door each morning, but I will certainly be popping my head into Year 3 to see how they’re getting on! Keep working hard Year 2, keep believing in yourselves and remember to be kind. You can do absolutely anything when you put your mind to it!

I also want to say a big thank you to you, the Year 2 parents. You have been so supportive this year and have always kept in touch to share your celebrations, worries or concerns.

I hope that you manage to find time to relax and create some special memories with your families this summer. Fingers crossed that the weather stays sunny and dry.

Stay Safe and God Bless,
Miss Woodend and the rest of the Year 2 team!
