'You are a child of God. You are wonderfully made, dearly loved and precious in His sight.'

It’s been another busy week in Year 1 and the children have continued to amaze me with their enthusiasm and determination. During our RE lessons we have been talking about Baptism and the children were very excited to hear that we would be having a special visit from Father Peter this week!

What have we been learning this week?

In Maths we have been exploring the different ways that we can add amounts together. We had great fun jumping along a number line to ‘add by counting on’ and have also used our number bond knowledge to add up to 20.

In English we have innovated our story with our own character and monster. When we were describing our monster we thought about which adjectives would make the reader feel ‘amazed!’

In PE we have been all been Sadie Spiders and have worked hard to develop our under arm throwing skill, just look at our focused faces!

Hip-Hip-Hooray!
