I cannot believe we have finished our year in Year 1, what a journey we have been on. The children have made so much progress, I am proud and I have loved teaching them.

Thank you so much for your support this year too, we couldn’t have done it without all of your encouragement and support at home.
We have been so spoilt, thank you for the presents and kind messages.

Today we enjoyed ice lollies as a birthday treat from Mrs Carragher and popcorn.

This week we learnt about the Great Fire of London, we have sequenced the events, discussed why the fire spread and rebuilt London, ensuring there were more than one bridge and the houses were made of brick and futher apart.

It was our last lesson with Miss Neves and we drew continous lines we loved our lesson and wish Miss Neves all the best.

I have made a video of our memories in Year 1, we have been so busy and been on so many school trips: library vists, farm, farmers market, church, Tea Dance and Geography features in St Annes. Thank you for all our adult helpers we wouldn’t have been able to go on all these trips without your support enjoy. We enjoyed watching it today in class I hope you enjoy it at home too.

Let’s Celebrate:

Lunchtime awards:

Well done to our Role Model Rhys and Alfie for his Marvellous Manners.

Well done to our certificate awardees, these have been voted for by children. Year 1 have chosen who they think deserves the certificate for displaying our learning characters throughout the term and the year.

Henry is going on holiday with Miss Drummond, he is looking foward to going on more adventures with the reception children.

Thank you for all of your support

Have a lovely Summer break you deserve it

Miss Drummond, Mrs Carragher and Mrs Davis
