It seems such a short time ago, that we were at Hope Park planting bulbs with Fraser and his team. With the sun shining, we went to visit the park to see the fruits of our labour. We were so pleased to see the Daffodils in bloom, they certainly do brighten the dullest day and act as a reminder that warmer weather is on its way!
We also took the opportunity to have an Eco meeting reflecting on the year so far and the remaining time as Stewards of the Earth within Year 5. Each year, we have a fundraiser so that the current eco team leaves a legacy. They have come up with lots of ideas, so watch this space for more information!

As the time draws closer to taking down the Christmas decorations and tree for another year, as promised, here are the details for recycling your real Christmas trees.
You can book a slot for your tree to be collected on the 11th and 12th of January by Trinity Hospice volunteers at;
https://just-helping.org.uk/find-a-collection/trinity-hospice-blackppol/
Or alternately, you can drop your tree off at the following collection points:
Coastguard Station, North Beach
Marine Bowling Club Car Park, Fairhaven Lake
Lowther Gardens, Lythum
Rawstorne Sports Centre, Feckleton
By recycling your tree, you will be helping in the conservation of the Sand Dunes, a beautiful piece of coastline that deserves to be saved.
If you would like to help with the conservation project, all you need to do is pop down to North Beach car park from Tuesday 4th February to Thursday 6th February, 10am- 3pm.
We would like to thank you for your continued support in looking after our precious world and wish you all the very best for 2020.
