English
Reading: Please make sure that you are reading - 30 minutes each day.
When you have finished your book, please make sure that you quiz on Accelerated Reader. We have set new targets. How quickly can you meet yours? What is your favourite place to read? How many books have you read recently? What has been your favourite book since Home Learning began?
Written Work: Thinking about the present perfect tense that we looked at yesterday - has or have plus the past tense verb - today we would like you to write some sentences about you and the people you know in the present perfect tense.
Remember to make sure that you punctuate your sentences carefully. Neat handwriting is also really important - can you earn a pen point?
e.g. I have walked Ruby every day on the lanes near to my cottage. (I have written this in the present perfect tense because I will continue to walk her each day)
Ruby has enjoyed our walks in the sunshine.
Underline the present perfect tense like I have done in my sentences. How many different sentences can you write? Try to use different verbs (think carefully about the past tense of irregular verbs). Can you use have in some sentences and has in others?
Geography
Please choose a European country, do some research and complete the ‘My country snapshot’ - click the button below to see it. If you don’t have a printer don’t worry it can look however you want, an adult could help you set it out in your topic book.
