Year One's Star Charter - fundraising

As a part of our star charter we have been tasked with raising money for a charity. At the beginning of the year the children decided they wanted to raise money for Alderhey Children’s Charity as it is one close to our hearts.

To raise this money, Year One will be completing a 15 day fitness challenge starting today (2nd May) and ending on the last day of this half term (23rd May).
Each day, the children will be completing a different type of exercise for 15 minutes.

  • Monday - 15 minutes of skipping

  • Tuesday - 15 minutes of walking

  • Wednesday - a 15 minute obstacle course

  • Thursday - 15 minutes of running

  • Friday - 15 minutes of dancing

I have sent home a sponsorship form with your children for yourselves and your families to sponsor their hard work (and fun). Please keep these safe as they will need to be returned along with the donations. Donations need to be handed into school by the 22nd May.
Please see below some pictures as we tick off each day of the challenge!

We thank you in advance for your kind donations.

Year 1 Tea Dance

Our Year 1 class will be performing at Marine Hall on Tuesday 11th March. We are super excited with what we have put together and cannot wait to share it with you. There are 10 schools who will be taking part. The children will be transported to and from Fleetwood by coach, but tickets are now live for you to book. Click on the button below to book your seats.

Tickets are allocated by Marine Hall and the Wyre and Fylde Sports Partnership - we have no control over those. Last year there was some families who were not successful in getting tickets and we put on a coffee morning tea dance in the school hall for all. We will do this again this year too.
